“A Dream is a wish your heart makes.”

Lines from an old song. Lines that have inspired many dreams and wishes.

Everyone have wishes; everyone has dreams. Some of us get to see those wishes come true. Men, women and children. Others do not have the fortune to see those wishes fulfilled, due to devastating illness or death.

The League of Enchantment has been participating in Make-A-Wish foundation’s Walk-For-Wishes in Detroit since 2016. Walk-For-Wishes aims to raise $500,000 every year at the walk, in order to grant wishes of children who suffer from illnesses, some incurable. Make-A-Wishes has been putting on this event for 21 years as of 2019, and the League’s members plan to be there. Granting over 15,000 wishes a year, Make-A-Wish constantly seeks to grow it’s reach and continue to impact more and more children and their families.

This goal strikes close to home for many of the League’s members.

The League’s main aim: to be a superhero everyday; and with that we love what the Wish-A-Mile does for kids, and for the community. It brings people from all walks of life together for one purpose. To paralel that, the League brings people together for a similar purpose.

Last year we brought out over 10 characters, from all over the state. This year is shaping out to be even more amazing. As we have over 20 characters scheduled to show that morning, We are so excited to some back for our 4th year in a row!

Please Come help us raise money to grant wishes and make dreams come true for kids and families around the U.S..

The central focus of the League of Enchantment has always been very clear. As a group we strive to visit children and their families in hospitals to raise their spirits and take their minds off of the illnesses that affect their lives for a few moments. Over the past few months the League has been incredibly lucky to have had several opportunities to visit some little heroes in hospitals all across the state.

Most recently members of the west side chapter of League of Enchantment were able to visit children at the Helen Devos children's hospital in Grand Rapids. There were lots of smiles and an abundance of laughter as Batman, Captain America and Mary Marvel announced for a rousing game of Bingo.

League members in the central part of the state have had the opportunity to visit little heroes in their neck of the woods as well through visits to Sparrow hospital in Lansing.

East side members have also been busy with repeat visits to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, where Marvel characters seem to garner the most attention during visits.

This is shaping up to be a very busy year for the League of Enchantment and we couldn't be happier for all the new opportunities to bring light and laughter into the world.

Be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for all the news regarding hospital visits and many more events statewide!

The League of Enchantment's Wonder Women were invited to Great Lakes Half Way to Comic-Con. We will be there to help support Bill Messner-Loebs! Bill is a Wonder Woman comic writer so it was only fitting that we bring as many Wondys as possible, right now we have 7 confirmed and a possibility of more!

Bill has recently fallen on hard times, you can help him by donating to his GoFundMe. We hope to see you all September 29th!

We had a blast at Cooley Law School Stadium hanging out with the Lansing Lugnuts fans! We were invited there for Kids Superhero Day and spent the whole day taking pictures with kids and adults alike. We had a stunning 23 members come out, traveling all the way from Warren, Oxford, and Grand Rapids! Thank you to the Lugnuts for inviting us out.
